The history of Agugiaro & Figna
Transforming cereals has driven the development of civilisation all around the world, and for a very good reason: it provides a vital food source which is still at the base of human nutrition.
The advent of the first watermills in Europe – presumably introduced by the Saracens – gave further drive to the milling art to then become a main feature in industrial production.
The history of the Agugiaro and Figna families has been closely entwined with that of milling art since the 18th century, being the period when mills were finally industrialised and flour production was standardised.
